Can you imagine how much customer money is being wasted by having their SSD/HDD ruined by Spotify? It's pretty wild. There's nothing that can be done about this problem because they do not care. I've reported this a bunch (all been deleted now), and I even have a few friends that work at Spotify. There are also no audio files at all in my "My Downloads" folder. If I close Spotify, and open it up again, it's not nearly as bad, because Windows is caching whatever Spotify is accessing.Īnd Yes, I did disable the "Downloads" folder from Local Files, as well as disabling Local Files. That's the one that takes 15 to 45 minutes of grinding on my computer. While that might be a problem also, that doesn't really solve the problem though.
